About The Owner

From a young age, I've had a deeper connection with animals. Some of my earliest memories involve spending time with our family pet, and I even befriended the 'mean' Akitas next door. This love for animals has always been a significant part of my life.

I also grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. My family owned a custom picture framing business, and my father was even voted "BEST OF Pasadena" several times. This instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of customer service. From the age of 8 to 13, I started my own small business, walking dogs and pet sitting for neighbors. This early entrepreneurial experience further solidified my passion for animals and my desire to work independently.

When I was a teenager, my older sister was a groomer in our hometown. During the summer break, she invited me to make some extra spending money and bathe dogs for her salon. Where we lived was a very middle-class/lower-income area, and a lot of our clients would come in for their 1 to 2 grooms per year appointments. I saw the impact grooming made on these pups. Watching them come in matted, dirty, and just sad, and leaving feeling and looking like a million bucks truly had a huge impact on me as a young kid. I bathed dogs on and off during weekends, holidays, and summers until I graduated from high school, where I dabbled in a few other possible career opportunities, which never gave me the same fulfillment as being around animals.

When I became pregnant with my first child, I knew the fill-in jobs and school just weren't going to cut it, so I found a grooming job where they did paid training to become a groomer. There, I learned quickly, yet at the expense of the pets' needs. This company I worked for cared more about lining their pockets and not giving the pets and groomers the time they needed to truly care for the pets' needs. That didn't sit well with me, so I went on and groomed at a few other places and from home.

As I groomed in many different environments, I quickly realized how important one-on-one appointments were, not only for our pet parents' ease of mind but especially for each individual furry friend I got to take care of. Grooming is not a one-size-fits-all service for our furry family members. About 10 years into my career as a groomer, I was handed the opportunity to learn how to professionally train dogs. Here was another avenue where I could make a difference in animals' lives. Giving dogs the best tools to be successful in their family homes and giving confidence to pet parents.

Over the past few years, I've been able to incorporate compassion and care, both in grooming and education, for my pet parents and their pets. Basic and advanced obedience training can transform the relationship between a dog and its human family to ensure a well-balanced home. Knowing I can help dogs to stay safe and well-balanced is something I take great pride in. There are so many pets in rescues and shelters that if I can aid in keeping pets in their homes through training, it brings me such joy. Bringing confidence and leadership to pet parents so their dogs can truly enjoy being a family member is something I appreciate so much.

Grooming is not only a creative outlet for me but a passion in maintaining a healthy pet, just as much as dog training. I have one dog and one horse and two human children who, just like me, adore their family pets and take a large interest in other animals as well. My oldest is expressing a desire to be a veterinarian!
